Music to Fuel Creativity

Interestingly enough, when I work I prefer silence…but I do love putting together playlists for workouts, and those are always changing.

New Design Trend

I am excited to explore patterns in a sophisticated way. Thinking [of using] subtle or tonal stripes and plaids to play with some of my more neutral, moody interiors.

Things About Fall

I love the crisp weather and the beautiful leaves; it just always feels like such an exciting and special time. Everyone is back from summer travels, kids are in school… and of course, High Point Market!

Travel Destinations

Paris, Aspen, Mexico, The Hamptons, Australia

Source of Inspiration

Travel is the best source of inspiration for me. [On trips] I am always taking pictures
of unique design details, colors and materials — so important to always be looking at new things!

My Rowe Design

The hustle and bustle of High Point Market itself was the inspiration for Brittany’s My Rowe Design, which she envisioned as a calm and restful haven in the midst of all the excitement. “I chose neutral colors that are a signature of my aesthetic,” says the designer, “and layered multiple textures with subtle patterns and one-of-a-kind objects and artwork.” Textures abound in this earthy modern space, from woven textiles to the plush luxury of the Rocco Ottomans’ natural sheepskin wool. Distinctive accessories like sculptural lighting and rustic vessels offer an eclectic, collected aesthetic that reinforces the idea of an oasis — a place for serenity and precious things.

The inspiration for My Rowe Design Space was a warm, layered and textural vibe that would feel like a bit of an oasis within the chaos of market.

The real heart of this space — as it is with most well-loved living rooms — is the appealingly oversized sofa. “My favorite piece is the Moreau Sofa in a beautiful umber velvet,” says Brittany, “it really anchors the space.” Generously sized at 110” and sporting the plush comfort of velvet, the Moreau is the perfect centerpiece for this warm and inviting social space. “[This look] could be for a house in the Hamptons,” says Brittany, imagining how her My Rowe Design might come to life in the real world, “where late nights are spent by the fire with friends enjoying wine and the beautiful surroundings.”

Top Five Design Rules

1
No accent walls! When I use a color, it typically goes on the walls, ceiling and trim
2
A home needs to have at least one moody, dark room
3
Scale is so important, and can really take an interior from feeling basic to designed
4
No more than two metal finishes with a space
5
Natural materials will always win!
