With over 15 combined years of experience in interior design, new home construction, and home renovation, the City Hill Design team is passionate about creating intentional design for everyday life. Sisters Amy Mobley and Katie Norrid opened City Hill Design in 2017, and value taking a personalized approach to every project and designing for a clientele of busy families. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, the City Hill team also designs in Nashville and the 30A area of Florida. As designers, Katie and Amy deliver a fresh modern take on traditional design, while also highlighting natural and organic materials. The sisters pride themselves on being relatable and down-to-earth, as coffee enthusiasts and fun-loving parents as well as designers and business owners. Above all, City Hill Design combines a fantastic eye for design with a desire to make each space an individualized experience.

Source of Design Inspiration
We get inspired by traveling! Since we are constantly immersed in beautiful man-made creations, nature brings us so much inspiration and creativity. We have always said that we would want to hire a designer fresh off of their vacation.
Unique Collectible
We love collecting signed coffee table books and quirky coffee mugs from our travels.
My Rowe Design by City Hill Design
The inspiration for Katie and Amy’s My Rowe Design was to invent a space featuring some of their favorite upholstery options, art and accessories, while creating a comfortable, collected environment filled with bold colors and materials. The City Hill Design philosophy is intentional design for everyday life, which is exemplified by this relaxed yet stylish space. “This space was designed for a family that desires home to feel cozy and enjoys spending time together,” say the designers. “We envision a lot of family games, kids’ homework, and Legos on the coffee table — a family functioning together all in the same space.”
🙶 My Rowe Design is… Classic, Organic, Edgy
🙶 What a challenge to create a space that so many talented colleagues will experience!
Their My Rowe Design space layers patterns with nature-inspired shades such as terracotta and slate. A favorite of the designers was “the stripe fabric on the Bristol Sofa!” The welcoming, curvaceous lines of the Bristol Sofa, Bernie Swivel Chair and Neoma Bench are anchored by the strong geometry of occasionals such as the Oasis Credenza and Capri End Table, striking a perfect balance of forms. A collection of bold and eclectic modern art and accessories completes the playful spirit of this family-friendly space in soft yet sophisticated style.
If this space was a cocktail, it would be… Sangria: combining classic red wine, fresh fruits, and liqueur as the mixture of different elements in a design
